Waze is having a new voice. And it’s not just some random person’s voice. Rather, it’s Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray’s!
On Monday, fans of the Miss Universe pageant, as well as Catriona Gray’s rejoiced as the reigning Miss Universe 2018 has been introduced as the newest voice on Waze, a GPS driving app that gives you driving directions, live traffic map, and road alerts. So, be prepared to have your day brightened by one of the most-loved Miss Universe queens even if there is a heavy traffic. And, if you love pageantries, you’ll definitely love it all the more as Catriona Gray will not just give you directions and safety tips but will also entertain you with her directions and tips such as “Time to park the car and do the lava walk.” And of course, you’ll definitely love every road trip because you’ll feel as if you’re traveling with the beautiful Miss Universe 2018.
What makes it even more exciting is that it is the first time that a Filipino celebrity worked with Waze. This is not for a mere clout, though, as according to the Waze Philippines country manager said, this move will enhance every passenger and driver on the road and will make every trip “even more enjoyable.”
Since it’s the first time that a Filipino celebrity will voice the road navigation app, what does the Miss universe 2018 has to say?
According to Catriona Gray, she is happy that she will be able to “share positivity to Filipinos who are on the road” whether they are going to work, school, or whatnot. The Miss Universe 2018 added that through this, she wants to keep people inspired and give help as they search their way to wherever they need to be, in spite of the “many challenges” that Filipinos face, particularly the traffic.
How to Get the New Feature
To download Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray’s voice on Waze, all you have to do is go to Settings (assuming that you have already downloaded the app). Then click on “Voice and Sound” then the “Voice Directions.” A list will then show up and from there, you can find and select the “English (US) – Catriona Gray” option.
The voice doesn’t include street names, though. Still, you can get to hear Catriona’s voice tell when to make the right turn. And, of course, hearing her voice alone can lighten up anyone’s mood.
