The world welcomed 2016 with traditional activities held in famous landmarks and icons in each country.
The celebrations held in the different cities around the globe were attended by millions of New Year revellers.
Each country opened the New Year with amazing events like fireworks display, ringing of huge bronze bells, musical performances, release of balloons and light shows.
